so game of thrones had to find a different actor to play daario, i get that. but why did they choose someone who looks completely different than the guy before? and could they not have just shaved this guy’s beard and put a wig on him? i honestly don’t understand the choices made on this show 70% of the time…

i'm so so so mad at him for the bullshit that came out of his mouth 'ohh but it's not JUST rape, you have to look past it to understand where poor jamie come from! he just wants to connect with her & feel whole again!' like big surprise it wasn't just about sex! that selfish and disgusting act that was all about about power! no fucking way!!! and let's not forget the few seconds during the assault where she didn't fight him just as hard - those were totally consensual. duh. it makes sense.

that’s what pisses me off too. they’re not even seeing it as a rape scene. cersei begs him to stop. there is no “yes” and it never turns consensual. i feel like they were watching a whole different scene than i was.

"There is significance in that scene, and it comes straight from the books—it’s George R.R. Martin’s mind at play. It took me awhile to wrap my head around it, because I think that, for some people, it’s just going to look like rape." - Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
